Hall Wines/Napa Valley/Walt Wines/Sonoma County/Russian River

In Reading the story of Hall Wines,I refer to the writing of Kathryn Hall.Hall Wines has a great Sonoma Label also! This is the story of "Walt Wines". BOB AND DOLORES WALT, were dedicated winegrowers who loved the land and each other. Our family produced six different varietals that we sold to several great wineries. For my parents, growing grapes was a shared family vision— a view of well cared for vines out the kitchen window, starting early in the day doing what you really love, the satisfaction of a hard day’s work, the feeling of peace walking through the vineyard before sunset. When I was away I missed our vineyard terribly and longed to be home working with my family. So, I was happy to be able to manage our vineyard operations from 1982 until 1992. My parents passed away many years ago, but they remain forever my inspiration for growing grapes and making wine. Not a day goes by that I don’t think of their love of the earth or passion for the vines. In 2009, we partnered with Roger and Richard Roessler, brothers committed to seeking out the finest vineyard sources along the Pacific Coast to make a portfolio of small-production lots of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Our initial phase of the partnership was to continue to craft wines from their prize vineyard sources under our team of expert winemakers and in our precision winemaking facilities. The combination of excellent fruit, masterful winemaking, and state-of-the-art equipment allowed us to produce special wines of great character and individuality. As we began sharing these wines with others, Craig and I felt it was fitting to commemorate my parents in this new endeavor. We talked it over with our winery team and WALT Wines was born. I just love these wines. At WALT we have an amazing and dedicated winemaking team, a state-of-the-art winemaking facility, a passionate winery staff, and strong relationships with extraordinary vineyard partners. What a combination! We have 2 great wines today,as we also have opened the Sav blanc from Hall Wines. Both are perfect summer wines, and we have traveled into the Russian River area and will enjoy a couple courses at Applewood Restaurant. We saved you a seat!Cheers! Click here as we enjoy two great food and wine pairings.
