A couple weeks ago I spent two days in Walla Walla, Washington. This wine region features some of the greatest red wines in the world. The Marcus whitman Hotel sits in the middle of town. This hotel has a presence that speaks of the history and class that has always been in Walla Walla. The best of the wines from this region come from Walla Walla Vintners. Myles and Gordy have become a winery with a huge following, bottle by bottle. This show features the wines and the wine and food pairings,but also introduces you to most if not all the people that support the winery and also some of the great people from the Marcus Whitman Hotel. Chef "Bear" has been at the hotel for many years, and it was an amazing time doing features with him at the "Chef's Table," located right in his kitchen. His food speaks for itself...off the charts!! but his use of local products and very small details make him one of the best chefs in the world.I look forward to sharing more food at the hotel with chef Bear, and will start to feature a meal at the "chef's table", on a regular basis. Also please try a bottle of Walla Walla Vintners wine asap...that way I can assure you that pleasure many times in the future.
