A Patz And Hall Summer Startup/Durell Chardonnay/2013

As we enjoy our first few very warm summer days in California, our meals get later in the evening and lighter in fare. This wine will not fit that bill...This is single vineyard Chardonnay and Sonoma at it's best.We will introduce you to Anne Moses, and join her for a glass of this amazing Chardonnay.I always enjoy checking out the tasting notes,as we open this wine. Durell Vineyard 2013 Sonoma Valley Chardonnay Layers of crisp green apple, poached pear, pineapple, cinnamon, lemon custard and chalky stone fill the nose in a kaleidoscope of aromas. The palate has lovely density, as well as good acidity and a spine of sophisticated minerality that keeps this rich, mouthfilling Chardonnay fresh and fluid. It is also worth noting recent press on this wine. Accolades 91 Points | Wine Advocate "Notes of stone fruits and wet pebbles jump from the glass of the 2013 Chardonnay Durell Vineyard, a site in the southwestern part of Sonoma Valley that is essentially uplifted old ocean floor with lots of sand and loamy soils. Minerality characterizes this wine, which also offers hints of nectarines, orange blossoms, crisp apple skins and wet stones. Fresh, medium-bodied and Chablis-like in character, it was bottled without filtration, and production is a small 355 cases. Drink now-2022." - Robert Parker"Drink now-2022"....My vote is NOW!Care to join us?Cheers! Click here we saved you a glass.
