As we enjoy our first few very warm summer days in California,our meals get later in the evening and lighter in fare.This wine will not fit that bill...This is single vineyard Chardonnay and Sonoma at it's best.We will introduce you to Anne Moses,and join her for a glass of this amazing Chardonnay.I always enjoy checking out the tasting notes,as we open this wine. Durell Vineyard 2013 Sonoma Valley Chardonnay Layers of crisp green apple, poached pear, pineapple, cinnamon, lemon custard and chalky stone fill the nose in a kaleidoscope of aromas. The palate has lovely density, as well as good acidity and a spine of sophisticated minerality that keeps this rich, mouthfilling Chardonnay fresh and fluid. It is also worth noting recent press on this wine. Fresh, medium-bodied and Chablis-like in character, it was bottled without filtration, and production is a small 355 cases.
