Jenkins Ranch Pinot Noir/Patz And Hall/I love The Sonoma Coast
This is a holiday wine!Spectacular in all ways.We should discuss the fact that wines from the Sonoma Coast appellation, are taking the world by Pinot Noir force....A perfect area for Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, and I think we are just seeing the beginning of a golden age of Pinot Noirs from California. Before we join Anne Moses and open this wine let's check out the tasting notes. The press this wine has been getting is worth reading ,and you get the sense that we are in the presence of a wine that is considered amongst the best in the world. 93 Points | Wine Advocate
“From Dijon clones 667 and 777, the 2013 Pinot Noir Jenkins Ranch spent time in 60% new French oak. Its deep ruby/purple hue is followed by beautiful aromas of wild mountain blue and black fruits, sweet raspberries, forest floor and spring flowers. As this meaty, rich, complex Pinot sits in the glass, notes of slow-cooked pot roast and bouquet garni also emerge. Already delicious, this beauty should continue to age nicely for 7-10 years.” - Robert Parker
Jenkins Ranch
2013 Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir
Vintage after vintage, Jenkins delivers a rich, flowing expression of Pinot Noir with fine-grained velvety tannins and alluring fruit—and the 2013 vintage follows in this delicious tradition. While there are beautiful black raspberry, blueberry, dark plum and milk chocolate layers to this wine, there is also a decidedly savory side, with elements of roast meat, mushrooms and fine herbs adding character and complexity. The finish is broad and lingering, with a mouthcoating density that puts an exclamation point on this stellar Pinot Noir.
