Two Beautiful Pinot Noirs From Sonoma Loeb/Sonoma County/Dutton Ranch
We can't stop now.We will check out the tasting notes on these two new wines, and a little history of this fabled label owned by Chappellet Vineyards. The wines are made by Phillip Titus, and these are very special wines from the 2014vintage. First we will open the 2014 Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir. Showcasing what can be achieved from a great vineyard in a near-perfect vintage, this wine offers remarkable depth and concentration, with alluring black cherry and raspberry aromas, as well as layers of chocolate, smoke and spice. On the palate, it is rich and velvety, with lush, mouth filling berry flavors, silky tannins, complex spice and hints of sweet oak, espresso and vanilla. The wines from the Sonoma coast have been center stage of late ,and this wines speaks loudly of many ways this growing area continues to push toward the top of the list of the world's best regions to grow Pinot Noir. Now onto the Dutton Ranch 2014 Pinot Noir from Sonoma Loeb . Nestles in the cool, foggy hills above the Russian River Valley,Dutton Ranch has earned a reputation as one of the appellation's best Pinot Noir and Chardonnay Vineyards. The last few vintages have been world class and this might be the best of all!The depth and concentration are unmatched, this will be a wine you will want in your cellar.I would but a case and try one every 4 to 6 months.Maybe two cases!LOL We have features with Phillip Titus which will follow directly. Please join us as we enjoy great wines and new releases from Sonoma loeb!Cheers!
